Question, is it OK to take your kids with you for hajj...like little kids 4-7 years of age? I know people have taken and they say some parts are really hard and it's better to leave them behind. But what if you cannot leave them behind?
There was 1 family with kids in our group, they did find it hard. I think the difficulties are mainly in the rush when you are doing tawaaf and sai, but also when you are in Mina in the tents area.
If people do take kids, it is VERY stressful keeping an eye on them at ALL times as it is easy for them to get lost. Also bear in mind that there are nearly 3 million people there so you have the germs of those 3 million people from all over the world concentrated in one place. Healthy adults succumb to illness there, so I guess kids would more easily succumb to it.
Something to think about. Many people left their kids to be looked after by family back home.
