If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

Just a friendly reminder to all of you who haven’t been for Hajj yet, I would like to say, PLEASE TRY TO GO FOR IT THIS YEAR IF YOU CAN!!!

It is such a beautiful experience.

Go for Hajj and fulfill one of your pillars of faith.

Go for Hajj while you still have your youth, your health and your wealth.

Go for Hajj and walk in the paths trodden by Prophets Ibrahim, Ismail and Muhammad, peace be upon them.

Go for Hajj and feel happiness in your soul.

Go for Hajj and pray to Allah from the bottom of your heart.

Pray for forgiveness.
Pray for Jannat.
Pray for the best in this life and the hereafter.
Pray for your family.
Pray for all the good that you desire.
Open your soul to Allah and pray.

Go for Hajj and feel closer to Islam and closer to Allah.

Go for Hajj and return feeling cleansed of your sins and unburdened by trials, inshallah.

I always thought I would go for Hajj later, but I went last year and it was the BEST EVENT EVER IN MY LIFE.

My intention in posting this is just to remind everyone don’t put it off, bcos we don’t know what tomorrow holds in store for us. If you can go for Hajj, then go for Hajj. It is very important that when you are in a position to go, you should not put it off.

I pray Hajj Mabroor for you all when the time is right for you, inshallah.

I purposefully didn’t put this in religion and scripture, because not many people go there to read stuff, just wanted this a reminder to everyone. Mods, move if you see fit.

Jaza K Allah,

May Allah Accepts us All , To Perform Hujj

See Meca
Madina ,
Taif

and All those places where our Beloved Prophet lived.

Re: If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

*Its only based on our luck and Allah's wish. Money not matters in it. But we should wish for Hajj and InshaAllah Allah will call us *

Re: If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

^ I know what you mean, BUT, with intention and perseverance, it can be done. If you don't try yourself, how can achieve anything?

Re: If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

Amen! And may Allah grant us the wisdom to do Hajj from our rizk-e-halal instead of using a haram entity (paisa from off licence etc ) to do a halal deed!

Re: If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

I think it will be better this year, cause older people and kids are not allowed to go due to swine flu ... so there will definitely be less of a crowd.

Amen to that!

Really, I didn't know that. That's quite sad really, I mean for older people or ppl with kids who already had their hearts set on going.

Re: If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

I have a question....

Why do people that can afford it go more than once for haj?
Why do they not donate that money for someone that has never been?

Re: If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

Muzna, you can perform Hajj on behalf of a deceased parent and even Umrah for them too. My dad did it again for his father who was unable to go during his life.

Re: If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

Yes Mehnaz, that is true....thank goodness that we are able to do that for our loved ones.
My question is directed at those that do it again for themselves.
I know several people that have done this and it just irks me.

I do understand where your coming from, in that if they were lucky enough to make Hajj, and have the funds why not donate to the less fortunate. We shouldn't assume that they have not donated to help someone else. Otherwise I wish if they have the $$, then they can help someone else do Hajj.

I went several years ago with my parents, and it is an amazing, beautiful, really words can't describe how it feels to be there. Subhanallah. Your heart & mind and soul, everything feels surreal, so at peace. With that said, I can understand the thirst to go back again & again.

Re: If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

Okay....so that is a valid reason.....you feel compelled to go back again. Would the feeling not be the same if you were to visit at a time other than Haj? My family has been back to Mecca several times after they have performed their duty Haj simply to enjoy the atmosphere and the ambiance.

I guess my beef is with those that repeat their pilgrimage several times and then talk about it over and over that they have done X number of them.

I agree. There is a thirst to back again and again. However, I think it might be wiser to go for Umrah or something so that places are available to others who have never been before.

That's understandable, I would get annoyed too.

Yes I agree with you, they can go anytime for Umrah instead. I also agree that Hajj is not something to brag about, just to be grateful about. I think it is wrong to boast about how many times you went. That should be between an individual and Allah. What irks me is when someone did hajj and now they call themselves by "Hajji blank". That comes under pride & boasting I think, not humble. Who knows their intentions may be good though.

Oh a question I have is are you able to do/see everything during Umrah as you are during Hajj? Do you still go to Mina, Arafat....etc?

Personally i cant afford Hajj right now, though inshallah will be able to in a few years, but at the same time, and this may or may not be the right attitude to take, but i feel like i should go when i am ready, meaning i know there are many ways in which i could improve my deen, and i dont want to go and come back and nothing changes, cos that will be hypocritical, and who knows after going once, i may not get the opportunity again. it seems like a waste otherwise, especially when there are so may people desperate to go, who cant afford it, or in places like pakistan where they apparently select people to go, dont get picked year after year.

anyway thats just how i see it, cos i see so many people going to hajj, and you'd expect them to do some soul seeking whilst there and think of the positive changes they could make when they return home to be a better muslim, but once they're back home, they go back to doing haram things, things that are completely unislamic, be it backbiting, hypocrisy and so on.

Re: If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

RUPAY:jazakallah....!
I havent gone for Hajj but I went twice for Umrah and there is nothing like it in teh world. Its hard to put the experience in words.

MUZNA:I understand what you are trying to say.

Someone correct me please if I am wrong because I really do not know how true it is,I heard that certain countries have a limit on the number of Hajj visas they give to a person in a given period of time ....like if someone has done Hajj last year they wont be eligible for another Hajj Visa for another 5 years....Is it true...??

Well, why don't you point that out to them when they do blab about it?

I'm not very good at praying, so this uncle at a party says, "son, you don't pray so you're headed for hell."
I got pretty peeved "uncle, you do a lot of gheebat, aap se waheen mulakaat hogi"

Re: If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

^ :cb:

I think it would be nice since Hajj is so expensive and so crowded now a days that once you have completed the farz of going once - you should send someone else. It would be nice to give someone else the oppurnunity to do Hajj. I think Allah might reward you equally for that.

People go year after year because some scholars disagree and say that you need to go with your own money and you cannot sponser someone else.

What do you guys think of that?

Re: If you can afford to go for Hajj, then GO FOR HAJJ!!!

It irks me when people boast about how many times they have performed Hajj...i think it kinda defys the whole point.

NJ - Hubby and i have sponsored some people to go to Hajj for themselves... hubby has been, but i haven't had the opportunity to go myself yet though, InshaAllah i will in the coming years.
