If you are to recommend...

one Pakistani drama and one Pakistani film to a non-desi person, what would be your recommendation?

Keep in mind that your recommendation would be a representative of Pakistani culture & society.

Re: If you are to recommend...

film: khuda k liay

Re: If you are to recommend...

I can give u a huge list of pak dramas....but wont be able to give one name since its just toooooo difficult to name one since they are all brilliant.

as for film i will say "khuda ke liye" the second good pakistani film i have seen.

Re: If you are to recommend...

^agree, khuda ke liye is so far the best movie ive ever seen from pakistan

Re: If you are to recommend...

KKL is probably the last movie I'd show to anyone who doesn't know anything abt Pak.....it's a pretty dark movie that paints a rather depressing picture of the nation...

Movie: Sargam
Drama: Tanhaiyaan

Re: If you are to recommend...

Movie: Aahat (nadeem, shabnam, waheed muraad starrer)
Drama: Daam

Re: If you are to recommend...

movie: khuda kay liay

drama: angan tera ( starring: bushra ansari and shakeel)

Re: If you are to recommend…

well said :k:

Re: If you are to recommend...

Good point, drama list would be endless but I would go for something like Shehzori. For films I probably would recommend a film that represents Pakistani cinema in it's former days of glory...black and white punjabi films such as 'Chan Way' (1951) were absolute gems and depicted Pakistani society beautifully. Another film choice would be 'Burns Road Ki Niloar' - a superb telefilm.

:k: This is exactly why I said “Keep in mind that your recommendation would be a representative of Pakistani culture & society.”
