If my husband's friend came over and knew hubby wasn't home, they most likely wouldn't even want to just wait around especially if no one else is there. Now if there were some circumstance where hubby was running late or they just had to wait for him, id call my dad or brother to come over & give him company. Actually my cousin, who lives alone with her son, when my mamoo passed away, my abu and other uncles always made sure to take turns to be there at her house to greet any male guests who were coming to give their grievances.
