If we dont read Qur'Aan with Tajweed then we are wrong??

Is that true?

Re: If we dont read Qur'Aan with Tajweed then we are wrong??

It's not that we are wrong. We just have to be careful that some words are pronounced properly, with the correct makharij so that meaning doesn't change. Also, it is the niyaah behind the effort that will be rewarded inshaAllah. Many people aren't exposed to rules of tajweed ever in their lives but they read Qur'an passionately. However, if you do get the chance, it is recommended to learn tajweed. It makes recitation accurate and beautiful.

I wouldn't say not important...if you get a chance, do learn tajweed. Meanwhile, read it the best you can.

To add ... those who struggle to correct their makhrij (pronunciation) are rewarded greatly for this. This means they may in fact be reading wrong, but as long as they try it is more than just acceptable but commendable.

Can you show where in the Quran that we are rewarded by GOD for learning the correct pronunciation in Arabic? It is a serious transgression to attribute falsehood to GOD and HIS Quran. If what you are saying is true, you should be able to support it with a verse from Quran. If you cannot, we are commanded in Quran to reject it.

i heard this too. :)

Not everything we are supposed to do is indicated in a verse of the Qur'an. I can't say for tajweed, but I do remember one of the ayahs talking about reciting the Qur'an slowly and beautifully which suggest clear makharij. I may be wrong here as I am no expert, but again, not everything we do is mentioned in the Qur'an...for example the method of performing our salah.

Tajweed is important. But not everyone knows the proper rules of tajweed.

Having said that there are 20 places in the the Quran where making a mistake means “insult” rather than praise. Pay attention to those for for now and slowly you can practice the rest of the tajweed. Also recommended would be a tajweedi Quran.

Here is one of them:
Due to the vastness of the Arabic language, any small mistake in pronunciation of a letter or word may change the meaning of that word. For example, the word ‘Qalb’ (with q) means heart, if read ‘Kalb’ (with k), it will mean a dog’.

Also there are two places in Surah Fatiah. iYYA kana’ There has to be a major stress on the “Y” parts or the meaning becomes opposite.

Please consult a scholar on these and other 17 places in tehe Quran where tajweed is of utmost importance.

Allah knows best.
