if u keep 28 roozai is ur eid accepted!!!

last i heard ppl in iraq kept 28 roozai and have had der eid!!! my cousin says that a certain hadith ( no idea which 1) says dat u must atleast keep 29 roozai in order 2 celebrate eid-ul-fitr! is dat true

I'm no scholar or anything but your question is kinda like if I pray now will my dua's be accepted? Only He knows :-)

Eid is a celebration regardless. Anyone is invited to celebrate it. There are no restrictions.

First of all what do you mean “Eid is accepted”?

The only problem would be that the people in Iraq fasted one day less, so they should make up that fast at some time. The likely cause of a 28-day Ramadhan will be that the people missed first roza and then sighted the moon of Shawaal on the 28th of Ramadhan.

This does not affect the Eid celebrations.

Also,I don’t think this is the first instance of its kind. There was a rather well-publicized similar instance in Saudi Arabia a few years ago, when the government announced Eid on the 29th and apologized for missing the first roza, or something.

i think if you missed a fast (fast=roza) due without your fault... (for exmaple, you didn't hear the news for the start of fast till it was too late or sickness)

or even if you misssed a fast for which you are at fault...(like you kept a fast but you deliberately broke it)

You CAN NOT Fast on the eid day...only shaitan fasts on Eid...

you must make up for the fast... if you missed it and its not your fault then you can make up for the fast by keeping one fast during the rest of the year

if you are at fault for missing the roza.. Then there are other requirements to make up for the obligation

then a question may arise that if some one miss namaz in ramadan then is his eid accepted....

well ......it is not we who judge acceptence of aamal......we should do our best and leave the rest to ALLAH.....
wallah o aalam

as umar said, make up for the fast after the eid....

u have to complete the "number" only when the moon is not sighted....
if it is sighted after 28, means u made a mistake earlier, and now u celebrate eid and have a 'qazaa' roza....
