The way I see it - theres a huge tug of war over Pakistan. That too by the two most criminal - elements ie Zardari, Nawaz Sharif.
PPP control Sindh. PML-N are the supreme power in Punjab. I remember over a year ago a friend saying that when BB and NS return they will only be powerful in their own provinces and eventually their rivalry will split the country. She was murdered.
Anyway back to the main point. I thought that friend of mine was wrong but over the last 2 weeks realised how true he might be. I dont think Zardari will command the support BB did in the party and in Sindh but then again Sindh is feudal and any powerful person could be no1. Although Zardari has no redeeming features and is a total slimeball.
Sharif has valid point - independent judiciary but right now Pakistan has other priorities, none being fulfilled. He has been used by Zardari and wants revenge again.

Pakistan is aleady bruised. If the tussle gets worse - enemies could take advantage of the situation.

Taliban are internal elements, they are not foreigners though their support is. Army has fought militants and controlled the country for 8-9 years, but that does not mean I want'em back. All we need is support army for fight against Taliban as the "Swat truce" is falling on its face, we know what Taliban are upto.

Lies after lies, how did the PPP manage to form a Govt in Punjab in 1993?
it was difficult for me to think how the symbiotic rivalry of PML/PPP that virtually ensured them alternate turns in power would return. I would've thought that with the decade long break from the two clowns, educated pakistanies would think twice before cheerleading for either party. sadly its clear now that the self serving rivalry that they've re-sparked has driven whatever segments of the populace that had weaned itself off the teat of nawaz and bhutto (zardari is just a surrogate) is firmly back in their camps.
What the tearing will accomplish is merely the strengthening of PML in Punjab, PPP elsewhere, and the perpetuation of the rule of Zardari and Nawaz. Who in gods name thinks this has anything any more to do with judiciary?
So no, I dont think anything will get worse. This is too good a ponzi scheme for them to let get out of their hands.
