The BCCI did ban Azhar and Jadeja. Their careers were over. It set a precedent and is one of the reasons why there is no fixing in the Indian team anymore.
But it is quite disturbing to me that Azhar was able to join the indian congress party and get elected for the lok sabha. That's a disgrace!

BCCI recently dismissed all proven evidence of match fixing against Suresh Raina as well.

BTW if there was a video proof against anybody then BCCI would have dropped him instantly forever as they lose their appeal to the public.
Coming back to the topic, if Mhd Amir was an Indian then BCCI would have atleast secured him to play in IPL i guess (if there were any takers). But to be honest BCCI would not act as lamely as PCB and would have acted before issue went to ICC.They would have settled issue internally and those kids would have gotton some punishment and BCCI would have asked ICC to keep their hands off the kids.

Actually I've seen the majority of posters here mad/frustrated/disappointed about this case since last year. Same is the case with ALL my pakistani friends.
Of course there are also a few who think blaming India or having India involved in this would make it less painful. Helps them sleep better at night :D

I see two scenarios to evaluate this question.
If Aamir and other corrupts were paid as much as Indian counterparts are, there would have been no fixing at all.
If Indians were paid what Pakistanis are today, there would have been alot of fixing (due to the location of the world HQ of fixing in Mumbai). BCCI substantially have been less wealthy therefore less power in ICC.
