If someone says they are a car salesperson, do you make judgements about them?

Do you automatically judge them be a chooro, and anywhere from a slightly to a completely dishonest person?

Car salespeople, at least in the US, are usually known for their deceiving and lying ways. They will tell you one thing upfront, and soon act like they never said it. They will make up facts, tell fancy stories and try all kinds of chalakiyan.

So, do you?

Re: If someone says they are a car salesperson, do you make judgements about them?

In general, that is the perceived notion about car salesperson, or any other sales person for that matter; however, I have dealt with car salesperson who turned out to be quite honest, decent, and helpful and gave me and my friends great deals... So, No. Based on my experience, I do not presume such stuff about anyone until I deal with that person but on the premises of social norms, I play safe and calculated.

No. I know many who are honest and decent people. The reputed car dealerships will not let them stay if they use those kind of tactics. Car dealerships have to maintain their reputation too , they will not let their salespersons ruin it.

Car sales persons are smart and talkative but its part of their job, I don't think they are dishonest.

I might play bit cautiously

If someone says they are a car salesman...I turn off my BS detector because it starts going crazy on me.
