ever heard of "hook and crook" .. all the chaos u see in this world is because the people behind these chaos do not have faith in God someway or other. Now, imagine living in a world with every single human being with no faith.

more killings and butchering done in the Name and Praise of GOD.

Being a student of religious history it astounds me how much blood flows for GOD.

Spirituality of Bhuddism and secular theology is my presently part of my course study .

And as for the purpose of living.
How does believing or not believing change your life's course or would have changed your course. Do you really need to believe in something above to be a good person? A good person who does not rape , pillage and plunder and butcher ---does it really require a belief in a higher being??????????

And I AM NOT AFRAID OF GOD. NEVER HAVE BEEN, NEVER WILL BE AND NEVER WAS TAUGHT TO BE. But I know a few who are and really they are not very nice people. Too pious, too judgemental, too gossipy, too dictorial and too dour in appearance and in living. PERHAPS THAT IS WHY THEY ARE AFRAID:teary1: .

May be you need to meet people who fear God and are nice as well. They don’t posses any of the moral weaknesses you have mentioned.

Useless thread! If I were Mod, I would not lock, but delete it. Please never think like that. There is always Allah Tallah. Who gave us brain? How are we living?

This thread should be deleted. Stop thinking about it. Otherwise it can mess up your Beliefs. We do not need any science proof for that. Quran, Sunnah and Hadith is the best proof.

So many believe it is so but then again many believe is the Torah and Bible are the only word of GOD?
I know sunnah and hadeeth are word and deeds of man therefore they can be edited can they not?

how does one come to rational and logical thought about this conundrum?

and what of other faiths and beliefs such as wiccans, Buddism, Bah a i. Cao Dai , Scientology, Taoisam, Hiduism ---**itS ABSOLUTELY FASCINATING TO ME **how people worship what , whom and where and why.

As a student of religious history and the rise and empowerment of its ideologies throughout the world I am continously questinioning. Even my dear father says I take after his curious mind. :) It is only natural to question and seek out answers is it not?

I wouldn't be so sure. Many wars may seem to have religious justifications, but on closer inspection "religion" is just an excuse. If religion wasn't an excuse, they'd come up with something else.

Religion inflames passion and emotions. Nothing easier done in life than have a person led by getting at their passion and emotion. Intellectual discourse on economy and finances does not inflame the average poplulace and the not so educated farmer and rural folk as talk about GOD and what he wants by nefarious religious leaders.

Ask the most fundamentalist religiously infested mind ( of any religious belief) for a conversation on various topics and you will find how limited their scope of knowledge truly is about arts, philosophy, history, geography, science , theatre, sport, etc, etc.

Many people can't even think logically or analytically let alone have the ability to think outside of the box.
