i just want the views of punjabies because mianwali is in punjab and magority of its people are pashtuns ( though non-pashto speaking). i think the local statesmen sher afggan niazi has once demanded that mianwali can be included in N.W. F. P

I dont think they would ask for mianwali, now if it was mianwala then the story may be a little different.

Why we people fear that giving some soverignity to a province will cause the break up of pakistan. Unification of all pashtun areas of pakistan do not mean that we want to merge with afghanistan. it is better for pashtuns to have a separate country like afghanistan and also are in union with other 3 other provinces to have pakistan. If we do not want to disintegrate pakistan we have to full rights to every nation in pakistan. Infact there is no need to have social contact of people from 4 provinecs. just give the authority to every province to use only its own resourses then it can be dtermined whether we were right in critizing punjab for use of other province resources.
East pakistan did not libtrate due to their demand of langauge etc but our refusal ,to give them right to enjoy thier langauge in full.
In N.W.F.P there is no trace of pashto langauge in schools. Nowadays a pashtun can not write in his own langauge. i am not against urdu but just think that pashto is 4000 years old while urdu is only 3oo year. It is difficult for a pashtun to have full command of a sub-conitent langauge.
plz do not take the pathan pride to be unique in the context that he is not faithful to his country. We are most faithful to pakistan because every time afghanistan tried to exploite our distingiushed identity but simply do not want to break up pakistan and loyal to it. if ever a pathan want to rebel no force in the world can stop us in carving out a separate country or merging with afghanistan.

i dont think so that jioning afghanistan and leaving pakistan would be an intelligent thinking by any means even if pathans wished
and if mianwali and attock are added back to NWFP then why not add back Hazara back to punjab.
but this will again not go in NWFP favour bcz electricity royality that NWFP gets over its dams are located in Hazara region and in this way NWFP will be again on disadvantage.

present day NWFP was once the part of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh's Punjab until the British Sahibs defeated him near mid 19th century.what will u think dear Afghan Prince if the Punjabis got nostalgia of their pre-British era Punjab?I advise u to focus on future rather than living in the past.

Our problem is we get excited that this should be in Punjab & that should be in NWFP or Balochistan etc etc. Ever considered why its not in NWFP or Baluchistan etc?

Districts are divided for the purpose of administration and the boundary lines are put there for district management. Take it as management & administration point of view rather than race or politics & it will make much sense.

You say that punjabi sikhs have ruled N.W.F.P then remind u that lodhis , suris, khiljis and durranis ( all pashtuns) have ruled entire punjab .In addition to them other pashtuns have also ruled states in punjab like maler kotla, sirhind, kasur , multan, pathankot, jullundhar,etc. Have we demand whole punjab, whole india ( we ruled it thrice). We are only concerned with pashtun areas like attock and mianwali.
and plz dont be proud of a sikh whose nation has kill u people in 1947 in millions. I think kasuri and multani pathans were only one in the punjab who were able to give ranjeet singh tough resistance. so be thankful to muslim pathan have ruled your province.

^What exactly is the issue here?? He simply said that the Attock and Mainwali districts originally belong to NWFP and were changed during the gora saab era. Whats so wrong about joining it back to NWFP? and where exactly did he mention anything about separating from Pakistan?

Dont get ur knickers in a tangle and make a mountain out of a mole. I am from Attock as well and I simply feel Attock belongs to the NWFP, simply because it was originally a part of NWFP. We share common languages, customs, heritage and culture and can relate to the rest of NWFP. Now why should this land be a part of punjab just because it was made one by the Brits? Why should the representatives be sitting in the Punjab Assembly when it should be sitting in the NWFP assembly looking at the issues faced by the NWFP. Dont you dare question my loyalty and patriotism for my motherland Pakistan even for a second!

Its twisted **** like urself who create divides and differences between people and turn a simple question into a bloody argument about Punjab vs NWFP and NWFP vs the rest of Pakistan. Grow up morons.
