Breaking Pakistan’s Constitution and overthrow of civilian Govt in 1999?
Would it be a death sentence?
Would Ch Iftikhar be tried alongside by conspiring and allowing that take over and sentensed to death? Or , he be spared since he became saint in 2007?

Dogar, Zardari and the Army are part of the deal he struck to continue enjoying his cigars, whiskey bridge and golf at his luxurious yet illegally acquired farm house, so dont expect them to try him.

The people are more willful to try him for what he did after the 2002 elections, most notably the 2007 emergency.

its not a question of what people are more willing to try him for, but where the law was broken and who else was involved in it or was accessory to it.
and if we go by that, Degas has a point, if Musharraf is tried for the coup, then Ifti would have to be tried.
It may not be convenient for certain quarters who are upholding ifti as some symbol just like maulana hazrat uphold religion as a symbol, but in the end its all for own political gain.
I thought former President, Great Pervez Musharaf, the Greatest Pakistani leader since Quaid-e-Azam was supposed to leave the country as soon has he left the Presidency?

Aalsi, I am always surprised to read your post. As long as his soul is in Zardari as certain circles are claiming why should he leave the country. His life is not threatened and he is not facing any criminal charges against all the criminalities he has committed. I would love to see his reaction and actions once he Zardari is no more trying to protect him if he decides that country is also important and should not be put in to such a trouble for just one man only. I adore Zardari in all this case who himself has become a kutta to protect an illegal, evil, and self centered guy just because Zardari gave him a word to ptotect him in return of putting Zardari in power. Zardari is a man of words which Musharraf never was…

kahan se laaye ho bhai? Even Zardari himself said it and its on record that accord/promises are not Hadith/Quran that can’t be broken.
