Hmmm yeah land , tribal ancestry and sibling rivalry also come into it… if you go back far enough you’ll find that the Isrealites and philistines were both nations descended from Abrahams sons so yeah vendetta royale.

Its not just religion but everythting in this one.

The Israelis of today aren’t the descendants of Abraham(PBUH) though. 95% of them are Ashkenazi Jews i.e. descendants of Eastern European Turkic people who converted to Judaism.
