If Iran and Pakistan went to war...

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war...

Are you saying that majority of our army is shia?
It may be true for the af...

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war…

LIke the case of Afghanistan? :faizy:
Or India?

I am not saying that Iran is like afghanistan but yeah stability is good for the neighbourhood like bangladesh is “stable enough” for India..

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war…

Oh my god! How insightful you are! Thanks! :faizy:
I was actually refering to Afghanistan.. India on the other hand we have genuine cause against.. But as far as India goes, our concern is only in regards to Kashmir and nothing else…
Afghanistan, we have genuine right in preventing Afghanis from destabalizing Pakistan, which is a stated motive of many of their leader past and even present (People conveniently ignore the fact that Afghans have been openly hostile towards Pak from the start). How we go controling this hostility is what counts.

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war...

:D

Must disagree. In external combat, not held back my issuyes involved in fighting your own internal idiots, I reckon the PA can do a fair job. India has too much numerical strength, but against other nations, I'd trust our conventional forces.

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war…

I said “people LIKE” Zionists and Wahhabis. I did not call him anything. It is just your own imagination.

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war...

If people want to see Iran in war then why not discuss it v/s Israel or Americans?

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war…

i dont agree with this at all. what has iran done to deserve this wrath?

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war…

Ok I don’t get your point?
Did I say we unilaterally impose war on Iran?

But Pakistan should come first. I am sure you must know that arabs and iran didn’t flinch when it was time for their sectarian turf war in Pakistan. It is not pure COINCIDENCE that there has been a sectarianism since the eighties.

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war…

im not too comfortable with a very strong and unfriendly iran either, but from reading your earlier post it does seem as if you would condone destabilising iran to weaken it. this is and will be intrepeted as an act of aggression

rather then exclude, pakistan should aim to include iran. this will help to beat sectarianism, another battle which has to be fought and won.

one of the perfect solutions to dealing with iran is for pakistan and saudi to push through the middle east plan preferably with iran. with a resolution there, iran will have an obligation to shunt its defence growth. an aggressive anti iranian agenda or not dealing with core issues of the iranian defence (inc sectarianism) is unworkable and will fail to some extend (ie disaster).

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war...

Paki AF F16s are no USAF or even Arab F16s!! Also, doesn't Iran has a kilo based sub force.

The only part I agree upon is the WMD. This would be the real sinker. Otherwise, we are pretty evenly matched..

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war...

Many Sunnis argue that the Sunnis in Iran are treated like dogs.

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war...

I dont think there is remote chance of Iran and Pak going to war ever.
but as a scenario, and history with Iraq

They dont fight but play missle/missle game. They lost huge area to Iraq.
and I think Pakistan has edge on almost every front, air force, navy and amry.
our fat budget army is better trained too.

They however will engage in gurilla warfare after the initial dust is settled.

Iraq was provided by the west until the bitter end. Iran stood on its own.

The ties between Iran and Pakistan are strong. Its would never take place, Allahjee forbid.
If only the III countries would join forces, it would change the map of the earth, become a new center of power.

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war...

Let us add a word to the title and our prayers "Allah forbid"

May Allah bless all the muslims with unity, peace and love for humanity

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war...

I share your sentiments about the war but the sectarianism will never have the three countries unite. Heck, we should be happy if RCD really works well..

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war...

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Iran's Shah allow Pakistan jet fighters to fuel in Iran for FREE against India during 1965? This is such a stupid thread. Pakistan and Iran need to build upon not only on an economic pact but also a military one.

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war…

Shah is gone and a shia mullah govt is in power soo what is your point again??? :konfused:

And I think you are confusing 1971 with 1965 but still can you tell me its “relevency”…

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war...

If Iran and the Taliban went to war, who would you support?

I would support Iran all the way.

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war…

I was responding to some anti-Iran rhetoric and also questioning the purpose of this thread. And no it was 1965.

Re: If Iran and Pakistan went to war…

His point was that Iran has no issue with Pakistan. The relations have always been cordial. So there is no point talking about war.
The only time there was tension between Iran and Pak was when ISI was supporting Taliban fanatics. But this issue does not exist anymore.
