Re: if Imran become a PM-would this be an issue upon visiting USA
True he didnt ve support base.but compare every one here in pakistan he is the best. And i dont know y he is being despised here.
its not a question of despise, people disliek certain missetps and errors on his part. I for one, while being a fan of his, am extremely disappointed at how he handled the laal masjid situation. Critiquing him for that does not mean despise.
i already answered that one in the 1st post.he cozy up with NSand bb coz they seemed to taking a stand against mush and he did support them rightly.but he was let down by them.He even supported mush in 1999 and that was the best choice as most of the pakistanis say.but when mush broke his promises he supported APDm coz they seemed of taking right stand .but in both ways he was let down coz he was not a politician.a simple cricketer was he who thought politics is same playing field as cricket arena.but he always took stand against wrong.
there is a difference, when he supported musharraf in 1999 he did not know much aboutmusharraf and thought he would be a good leader. In the case of Nawaz and BB, he knew what kind of backstabbing, corrupt, selfserving, ppl he was dealing with. That was a bad case in judgement.
his youth life was never a secret in pakistan.but then y rake up his pvt life.as a public figure he never did bad to pakistan or bought pakistan's honour down.not being a apologist for imran here let his pvt life in his pvt domain or is it just that pakistanis like to gossip about his pvt life. But if u rake up the cupbords of every person im sure ull get some skeletons there.so let pvt life be his pvt life and concentrate wat he has been in public life.
ppl drag out everyone's public life here, or their physique, or their complexion, or their habits etc etc. The issue with his personal life is that it shows bad judgement in getting in that situation to begin with, and then how he handled it and the entire court case etc. remember what happened to clinton?
the point is that when ppl are going to show him as some moral example, he is not, so why do it. question then remains does his personal liofe have an impact on his ability to lead? that can be answeresd in diff ways I suppose depending on how someone is looking at it.
anyways, the biggest issue as I see it as the Imran has been unable to find good lieutenants, one man simply can not go it alone, I am not sure what kind of people he has surrounded himself with, i do realize that PTI top leadership has been somewhat of a revolving door, and its either because he is reaching out to the wrong type of people, or they are not able to work with him or for this cause. I dont understand.
