if Imran become a PM-would this be an issue upon visiting USA

Re: if Imran become a PM-would this be an issue upon visiting USA

If i am not wrong, Imran Khan has a lot more self respect, honour and dignity as being a Pakistani.Atleast more than most of the pakistani rulers and bureacrates.
just an opinion please.

Re: if Imran become a PM-would this be an issue upon visiting USA

true, but it is inconsequential, if PTI was participating, it does not even have enough dandidates to field let alone win majority or anywhere close to majority, so he is true to his word, but its a hollow gesture.

he has also made some bad choices by cozying up to nawaz and co in APDM formation in London.

I like Imran, and would vote for PTI, but the party has no legs, its a one man show and Imran can not win anything with the party being in the state that it is. The sad thing is that the ppl he is deoending on are probably not even doing all that they can do, I mean we see him but what about other PTI folks, why dont they do things, he can not carry the entire party alone.

and to be fair, he has not always done whats right, and he has not always shown he has moral values. Tyrian Jade White Khan is a living example of that.

he is a human, with his strengths and weaknesses, lets not make him into some perfect human being.

he has not ALWAYS supported right thing,

Re: if Imran become a PM-would this be an issue upon visiting USA

True he didnt ve support base.but compare every one here in pakistan he is the best. And i dont know y he is being despised here.

i already answered that one in the 1st post.he cozy up with NSand bb coz they seemed to taking a stand against mush and he did support them rightly.but he was let down by them.He even supported mush in 1999 and that was the best choice as most of the pakistanis say.but when mush broke his promises he supported APDm coz they seemed of taking right stand .but in both ways he was let down coz he was not a politician.a simple cricketer was he who thought politics is same playing field as cricket arena.but he always took stand against wrong.

his youth life was never a secret in pakistan.but then y rake up his pvt life.as a public figure he never did bad to pakistan or bought pakistan's honour down.not being a apologist for imran here let his pvt life in his pvt domain or is it just that pakistanis like to gossip about his pvt life. But if u rake up the cupbords of every person im sure ull get some skeletons there.so let pvt life be his pvt life and concentrate wat he has been in public life.

Well i heard about Edhi foundation once when Asma Jahangir was here in delhi in one of her speeches but never knew that it was this person.just read about his work and now.but i dont get one point when this guy is doing such a good work then why he is being hounded by various govts and religious zealots.

Re: if Imran become a PM-would this be an issue upon visiting USA

its not a question of despise, people disliek certain missetps and errors on his part. I for one, while being a fan of his, am extremely disappointed at how he handled the laal masjid situation. Critiquing him for that does not mean despise.

there is a difference, when he supported musharraf in 1999 he did not know much aboutmusharraf and thought he would be a good leader. In the case of Nawaz and BB, he knew what kind of backstabbing, corrupt, selfserving, ppl he was dealing with. That was a bad case in judgement.

ppl drag out everyone's public life here, or their physique, or their complexion, or their habits etc etc. The issue with his personal life is that it shows bad judgement in getting in that situation to begin with, and then how he handled it and the entire court case etc. remember what happened to clinton?

the point is that when ppl are going to show him as some moral example, he is not, so why do it. question then remains does his personal liofe have an impact on his ability to lead? that can be answeresd in diff ways I suppose depending on how someone is looking at it.

anyways, the biggest issue as I see it as the Imran has been unable to find good lieutenants, one man simply can not go it alone, I am not sure what kind of people he has surrounded himself with, i do realize that PTI top leadership has been somewhat of a revolving door, and its either because he is reaching out to the wrong type of people, or they are not able to work with him or for this cause. I dont understand.

Re: if Imran become a PM-would this be an issue upon visiting USA

religious zealots because he does not bow to their pressure, one of the things he got under fire for was for setting the khoola program for unwanted babies mostly born out of wedlock, religious zealots said that his actions were promoting promiscuity etc.

Re: if Imran become a PM-would this be an issue upon visiting USA

Imran used pretty derogratory language towards English women once, and then he ended up marrying one. So I don't Condi will ever be too perturbed about what Imran called her in the past or not.
