If (and it’s a damn big if…)

*Withdraw our forces from all engagements and scrap current defence budget in favour of a new defense strategy based on asymetrc warefare… increase the SOF from one battalion to the addition of six new battalions each designated with special tasks.

*Dedicate the next five years to a period of economic growth based on trade and public ownership nay responsibility for many of the institutions such as healthcare and education.

*Attempt to draw the line with India and sign a ten year truce no war no, border raids… a practicall silence from our side of the border. (with certian clauses… I:E should India try and take advantage of the peace the backlashj would be huge and global.

H ave the same beliefs regarding the Pakistani defense programme. That’s the only sustainable way. Otherwise, we are heading for bankruptcy, just like the Soviet Union.

But I don’t agree with the nationalization of assets. This has been shown again and again to be counter-productive.
