No - this thread is not about my will , nor it’s about my last wishes about guppies. It’s about this new Facebook app, which allows you to record a last message on Facebook. This message will be released to all your contacts if your three trustees (three friends from your contact list, who you will choose) confirm that - well you are dead.
Now the question-- whose “brilliant” idea is that! Is social media so integral part of our lives that there actually is a “market” for such apps!

Really! Don't you think it's like giving a "website" far too much importance in your life than it deserves? Sure the "friends" on these social networks has a right to know if you are dead or alive, but think about it - IF you are already so close that your last message REALLY matters to them then they probably would know about death before sone trustees actually goes online and confirms it.

It all boils down to user's judgement. Why choose some random strangers ("friends" or "foes" categories) over Internet than real life friends or family members.

no i think its fine. yeah the ones who are close to you will probably know about "my death" and will pass it on too. but i have friends on fb who arenot that close to me still i would like them to know aswell when i have passed and there will be know one to tell them about my death since they are just my solo friends as in they are not in touch with any other mates of mine on fb who possibly tell them the news. unko batane wala bhi koi hona chahiye tou yeh application mera woh maqsad poora ker de gi. :)

Hmmm interesting thought process! Ok let me put it differently. If I go to an extent that I record a message (to be released incase I die) then I am investing my emotions heavily to something which may or may not be of importance to "friends" in my ONLINE social circle. They might just reply "inna lillahe wainna ill eye rajeon" to the message and next minute switch to farmtown or comment "lol pwned" (in response to some jacka$$ videoclip).
My beef is not with the message. I have problem with someone actually going to THIS extent to pass this message to some online "friends".

u mean those friends might say “RIP, ILWAIR” and the next minute they are busy enjoying/doing there stuff???
