IE problem

I’ve been having a weird problem with my IE lately. After like 5-10 minutes of opening it, I keep getting a message box that IE has encountered a problem and needs to shut down and then the send error report or dont send error report options. I keep clicking dont send error report and it shuts down.

Why is this happening?

Re: IE problem

Can u get the error code please..that would help.

When u get that error, click on More Details and take a screenshot of that by pressing PrtScrn on ur keyboard. Paste in paint, save it as Jpeg, upload here.

I'm sure someone can help u out.

Re: IE problem

Well I closed it for now, so next time I have the time and patience for that I will. It's just those general grey message boxes.

Re: IE problem

Yea i know...:)

But error code specifically helps narrow it down.

Re: IE problem

Those error codes don't show crap... only ms can understand that and that is why there is option to send info to them!

Sabriya, I suggest that you scan your computer for virus and especially spyware.

The problem you are facing is most likely caused by some stupid toolbar that you may have installed or crapy website you may have visited may have installed something that IE does not like!

Re: IE problem

Hmm… haven’t downloaded anything in recent days/weeks so that cant be it… what exactly do you mean by spyware? :bummer: Like hack programs?

Re: IE problem

try using Firefox
IE is crap
gives new errors everyday
favorite dish for spy and ad wares

shut down and u wont know what the holy son of gentle man happened

Re: IE problem

Possible.

Try using AdAware, Spybot Search and Destroy…they can be found and downloaded for free

JL: bro..the error type does help…because u can tell which application/file it’s associated with…and if you search that cause on google u’ll find a solution.

I always do send the report but do you think MS is gonna call her back telling her what she should do about it? …

Re: IE problem

thanks for the help guys, will do what you all said

And yeah, my mozilla is perfectly fine, just the darn IE giving me headaches :vivo:

Re: IE problem

you can just restore the windows to previous setting when IE was working fine
