A friend of mine (Chicago) bought his TL for about $5K something. So yeah, should be do-able. Just make sure you get someone to have a peek at the car, do a CarFax check and test a few just to get the feel of different vehicles. Better still, come back in a few years!

Few years psshtt, I am probably going to do drivers ed during the summer and then get my license on my 16th birthday in May next year hopefully.
