In this day and age heres just a few real life examples i was given to look out for in my area. 
One store robber held up a convenience store, realising there wasnt enough cash in the till… he donned some overalls and worked a shift to boost the takings by which time the police arrived and he was arrested. 
Two armed bank robbers burst into a bank where one promptly and in the common fashion shouted the typical “No body move or i’ll shoot!” Naturally the staff and customers went stock still… and as the other robber moved to the counter… his nervous colleage shot him. Well i suppose this lunkhead really meant what he said. 
Another crook held up a liquor store, while he stuffed his coats with cash… he decided he’d have free whisky bottle too… the plucky shop keeper asked for ID and the dopey crook gave it happily… a few hours later he was arrested. 
Two cocaine fuelled house breakers thought they hit jackpot when they got into a house in which amon the valuables they found a jar labbled “Charlie”. Thye snorted away with enthuisasm only to discover the jar contained ashes of the owners late dog.
A woman had her bag snatched on a train. The thief realising he had nowhere to run was soon cornered by the train guard… while being taken for positive identification he blurted out “officer yes thats the old woman i robbed” Well at least he was honest.
One criminal was caught by police as he attempted to run, fearing he was wounded the police closed in fast, only to realise the crooks low slung pants were his downfall. 
One man was arrested for charges relating to robbing vending machines… though he strenously denied all charges he was caught red handed when he tried to pay the £200 pound bail fee… in one pound coins.
One criminal forced a young woman to drive to two different ATM machines after taking her hostage… he withdrew a large sum of cash from his own bank account then let her go… some crooks just havent figured out how to call a taxi yet i suppose… next time the ride wont be so comfortable. 
CCTV has become so advanced these days that one one so called “woman” tried to disguise his way out was picked up on a camera screen that revealed clrealy he was sporting a very fine moustache… he was picked up easy and he thought it was a close shave to have almost got away…
Finally a Man who bought a stash of speed from a dealer realised it had been cut with other material. He stopped an Officer and told him of the poor quality of the substance… naturally the Officer followed him to the dealer and arrested them both… well done that man! :cheers:
