I heard this one recently: Via Bhatinda
Bhatinda is a place in Indian Punjab that has always been associated with taking the longer route to anywhere, with the famous “via Bhatinda” catch phrase.
Bhawaanii Jn. [Junction]:
**
moHavarah: lo jii aa gayaa Bhawaanii Junction!**
it's a large Railway Junction where locomotive and the staff change and as a result the trains halt for a long time, say over 30 minutes. the phrase means a long stop.
reminds me of the days when i used to travel by train and upon arrival at the respective railway stations i would hear hawkers selling their local delicacies. :)
** taking/telling someone to take a longer route**
