Hello Guppans,
I am getting married this December inshAllah. Please share your ideas to welcome the inlaws on Baraat. I am aware of showering the rose petals and Dhol walay but unfortunately the venue has NO Dhol policy in the premises. I have only attended 3 Asian weddings in my life which happened to be reception only.
I would appreciate your help.

My cousin had all her cousins throwing rose petals. DJ played music so no dhol. Girls parent's out garlands on groom and his parents... That was about it really. Not sure of any other ideas to welcome the baraat tbh. Maybe so something else in place of the rose petals? Confetti maybe? Sparklers if it's outdoors?

I have seen people present single rose stems to the wedding party too.

Hi eastern11, to the whole party or just the inlaws? What about Gajray( fresh flower bangles) for female guests?? Or is it a Mehndi thing?

It's the barati ( people who come with the groom's party and enter with him). You can do rose stems for the men ( buttoners) and flowers bangles for the ladies too. I have seen both ways.
