I have left over chicken keema stuffing of patties. How can i use it creatively for iftari ? I can use it as a filling for chicken cheese rolls but i wanted something different. Any ideas? ![]()
Re: Ideas to use Left over stuffing!
Home made pizza topping
Re: Ideas to use Left over stuffing!
Buy some ready to roll puff pastry. Cut out pieces and use the keema as filling. Brush with egg, bake at 220 degrees for 15-20 min. Yummy!
Or you could use it to make samosas.. or sandwiches... or parathas...
Re: Ideas to use Left over stuffing!
Or in a pasta bake
Re: Ideas to use Left over stuffing!
cut into chunks and roll them in chinese wraps with cheese and then fry them :) yummy :)
Re: Ideas to use Left over stuffing!
Take the left-over chicken keema and incorporate it with mashed potatoes, some finely chopped onion/dhania/and green chillies, add seasoning to taste (namak, mirch, garam masala). Shape the mixture into discs, dip in a beaten egg, and fry. You get aloo ki tikkiyan this way.
You can also make tea sandwiches. Add chopped lettuce, celery, mayo, a few dashes of hot-sauce (whatever else you want) and spread on some bread. Cut the crusts off and you get pretty sandwiches, lol.
Buy premade pizza dough...use the keema and other ingredients as toppings. Bake and then cut into mini slices.
Combine it with pasta. It could be tossed in with macaroni, ziti, etc. Or use it in a layered pasta dish such as lasagna. Use it in a grilled cheese sandwich...or comine it with nachos or soft tortilla shells for a Mexican dish.
Use it as a stuffing for samosas, parathas, potato skins, grape leaves and other vegetables.
Re: Ideas to use Left over stuffing!
Buy some Uncle Benβs rice .. any flavor, and half cook it, cut some yellow, red bell pepper, stuff with rice and qeema, top with cheese and put in oven for sometime. When the cheese is melted, remove and garnish with cilantro or green onions.
something like this.

^ Oohh nice!
Re: Ideas to use Left over stuffing!
my mom makes these keema aloo balls. LOL....let me explain.
She prepares the aloo as if making aloo tikki. Then she makes a round disc from the aloo mixture, puts some of the keema in the middle of the disc, then uses the aloo to cover the keema by making a ball out of. She then dips it in pakora batter and deep fries it. It is SO GOOD! So basically it is pakora batter outside, then a round layer of aloo mixture, and right in the middle of the ball is the keema mixture.

Re: Ideas to use Left over stuffing!
Mix it with some boiled mashed potatoes and adjust the seasonings accordingly. Then take a slice of bread and cut it diagonally.Put that qeema and aloo mix on the bread...dip it in egg and shallow fry .
My ammi used to make these when we were younger and then I tried making them for my toddler daughter as a lunch item.Too bad she isn't a fan of bread...!!

Re: Ideas to use Left over stuffing!
**Quesadilla
**Take 2 tortilla wraps, spread one with a pasta sauce, or any tomato based sauce, layer with sliced onions, grated cheese, chicken and any other filling of choice (i.e. sweetcorn, peppers). Place second tortilla on top.
Heat large frying pan and brush with oil, place the tortilla on in pan after about 30 seconds, flip, and cook for further 30 seconds. Transfer to a plate, cut into wedges and serve.
**Nachos
**Place tortillia chips in a dish, top with chicken, grated cheese, black beans (if you have them), and microwave for a few seconds - until cheese has melted. Add salsa, sour cream, guacamole - whatever you fancy.
**Stuffed peppers
**Boil and mash potatoes, heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, cumin powder, chilli powder, amchoor powder, and potatoes . Mix well, add lemon juice, fresh corriander and green chillies. Cut small green peppers in half, fill with potato mixture, top with chicken and grated cheese. Place in oven until the peppers have softened and cheese has melted
**Chicken bread rolls
**Mix chicken with mashed potato, add some masala (cumin, chille, salt, lemon, green chilles).
Take a slice of bread and dampen, place the chicken potato mix in the centre, and fold the bread over the mix, press the edges to seal. dip in egg and fry over a low heat.
