This style of serving mithai at events is very popular with my mother & her friends - they tell the mitha walas to make angoori size pieces for the trays. One can order not just mini gulab jamun where we are but fancy mithais like pista balls with kesar centers, then rolled in varak & all sorts of other color variations which look pretty on the trays. My mother also likes to also offer a tray with cut fruit & raw badam & kajju since so many guests are concerned about not eating too much mithai. The picture of the fancy pineapple is very festive - I'll have to show my mother that idea.

A saw a recipe here for chocolate truffles, that is something you can add to the platters along with chocolate dipped strawberries. The recipes are super easy.
haha yup they do, and it's a nice little project for the bride, her mother, and her friends to put together. It's this special time that you spend with loved ones that you will cherish forever!
