How to make it a blast?
Im looking for ideas (for both boys and girls together) that will make it more fun, besides the whole singing and dancing bit.

Dumb charades is so much fun and as its done in teams can get everyone involved – this game has kept alive many a raat jaga in my family!

it's when everyone, and i mean everyoneeeee, stays up all night (or is forced to). all the family, cousins, friends, etc get together during wedding time- lots of singing, dancing, food, and just good fun.

^It can be, yeah.
Usually in our family, it's done the night before Mehndi following a dholki or something. Some people even do it after Mehndi ends but that can be a bit tiring.

Antaakshiri (dunno how to spell) is really good, if all in singing etc.. it shud be fun!
Pareezay, it sounds fun. bcz in our family usually the elders go to bed and the young party have fun dholki etc... May be its cz my elders aren't into all dholki n stuff, lol.... I wanna have a raat jagga too... hehe!

^My mom is in bed by 11 pm! But my dad's side of the family is alot of fun and they can go all night just cracking jokes and having fun. I think a wedding is totally incomplete without a raat jagga :D

a lot of families also do it this way-
all the cousins get together and they go sing and dance to every elder in the family and collect money from them. with the money they usually go out together for dinner.

Do some pooja, sing bhajans and eat parsaad.

Pareezay, I know it's totally off of the topic but are you Bihari by any chance :)? Because I am and I've heard this term in only Bihari families.
Anyway, in our family, we apply mehndi, sing songs, dance and basically do whatever we feel like. Nothing specific is planned. My nani and all the elderly ladies make gulgule, if you know what they are, saying it's a tradition or something.

Honestly, bihari weddings are so boring that this is the only saving grace where people can have fun. But yeah, thats where it stems from, however, it's very common in Pakistan now.
