Ideas for masjid carnival stalls

Re: Ideas for masjid carnival stalls

I would revise your prices. They seem quite steep.

Our youth group is ages 12-25. We held the bake sale on Good Friday, since it was a school holiday and their would be a big turnout for Jummah Namaz. The youth/parents were all asked to bake and contribute. We had a good mix of brownies, cake pops, cookies, cupcakes, muffins etc. we sold juice pouches for $.50 each as well. The baked goods were priced $.50-$2.00. We sold out in about 30 minutes flat! Here’s a pic of our set up:

Re: Ideas for masjid carnival stalls

don’t make cheesecake it will spoil if they don’t have a fridge or cooler at the carnival. Make gajjar ka halwa. its in season. I know it takes long time to make it but the end result is great. carrots don’t cost much. all you need is milk. sugar. and grinder if you want to save time. Also don’t forget to add that white stuff. khoya.

Re: Ideas for masjid carnival stalls

That’s really inspiring! May you be rewarded in the hereafter for all your hardwork. Wish my local Masjid did similar activities it would being the community together nicely.

Re: Ideas for masjid carnival stalls

We charged $1.50 for the larger cupcakes which were frosted and decorated and $2 per 3 for some smaller plain mini cupcakes that someone had made.

I highly suggest you add in some items other than just cupcakes (cookies, brownies etc)..the more variety you have, the more attractive and successful the stall will be.

Re: Ideas for masjid carnival stalls

1 x box of Chocolate Cake Mix ($2.00)
1 x can of prepared chocolate icing ($2.00)
blue candy melts from bulk ($2.50)
green candy melts from bulk ($2.50)
sticks and bags for packaging ($2.00)

I didn’t add the cost of the 3 eggs and oil that is required to bake the cake.

We made these 3 days in advance because it does require a few hours and I couldn’t spare that time on a week night.

Re: Ideas for masjid carnival stalls

How neat…I am sure they were oh so yummy

hehehe…they were…sis and the kids ate up a good portion before they made it to the bake sale…
apparently they were the first things to sell out at the sale too.
I was so proud of myself for not having eaten even one of them this time!!!
