Ideas for hubby bday gift

I have moved to US few months back, don’t know any brands here, want to buy a bday gift for hubby, Walmart is nearest here, can I buy a good quality gift from Walmart for not more than 60$? I need ideas for gift too.Are the watches available at Walmart have good quality? Or should I spend more than 60$? Advice needed.

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

I love my wife more than I love my life but if she bought me any gift from Walmart I will leave her.

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

Oh OK, Actually that was the nearest, otherwise its a long drive. So I think I will have to wait for the that time when we go shopping.

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

A gift is a gift . When we attach value to the money , then might as well ask the other person to give you the money instead :D

Kasper, usually the watches at the walmart arnt excellent quality , they are ok though for a short term or day to day rough use. If that is what you have in mind , then it can be a good option

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

You know your husband more than anyone else. If you know gift item from Walmart, and you are sure that your husband will like it. You should not worry about it.

Good quality of perfumes are always in demand on any happy occasion...

What weak relation you have with your wife... which can easily break just because she would purchase a gift for you from Walmart... What a sad state of affair!!!!!

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

Just because I have an amazing relationship does not mean that I would allow myself to be violated with toxic stuff made in sweatshops by exploiting little children.PS I have everything I need so they are instructed to never buy me gifts. All I need is a specially made dinner and attention..lol.
Do you know what speaking facetiously means?

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

I actually agree that buying fair-trade and from socially responsible sources should be something people should look into more. As hard as it is there are more and more shops that are opening up that are sourcing their supplies from ethical resources that don’t exploit communities and natural resources. I was actually speaking to a socially responsible investor a few weeks ago and we talked about this in extensive detail. All it takes is power of the people to come together. It’s hard but we can take it one step at a time.

Ten Thousand Villages is Canada’s fair-trade retailer. All artisans that make the items are paid fairly and some profits are invested into their villages as community development projects. https://www.tenthousandvillages.ca/

As for the gift, I think your husband will be appreciative of anything you get him. Try to get something that he will use in the near future. Put some extra thought into it. Shirts, watches, tools any"guy stuff" will make him happy I’m sure.

I always like to buy watches for my dad and brother and I pick out some good ones so I would look into those personally.

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

My friend, if you think you have accessibility to walmart and that may cover your budget as well alongwith the products that your husband may like. So yea please go ahead and shop as per your convenience. I know when you are a fresh FOB, its hard to get a hold of all stores due to commute challenges, costing and others.
some of the walmarts are really YUUGE.. while some are meh. But you can still find good stuff. So yea go ahead, take a look and if you like it, why not.

And no dont worry, I’m sure your husband will still love you for whatever you choose and wherever from.

And happy birthday to him.

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

I am thinking the concept of ethical shopping may be beyond your comprehension but it is a growing movement here. Many young girls wont marry guys who will buy them blood diamonds. People who fight for ethics have saved and enhanced lives.

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

Someone raised you good, you have ethics of a gori baachi.

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

LOOL, my parents would be so disappointed if they heard this.

I think I'm a good mix of eastern and western values.

AND

I'm an adult!

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

Taking the best out of all cultures and not boxing yourself as eastern or western is such a smart thing. good on you young lady.

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

And how would it be bad if they have ethics of a "kaali" bachi? or brown bachi? Or may be colored people have no ethics?

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

Gori baachi ethics are based on humanism and I subscribe to that. Are brown bachi ethics based on Saudi doctrine or something else? You tell me what you think are brown baachi ethics? I hope not subservience..lol. I like kaali baachi ethics a lot I lived in Africa.

Re: Ideas for hubby bday gift

Your vision about women is certainly remarkable. The fact that you categorically discriminates a gender as per their skin color says a ton about yourself.

O ya, and get some education plz. Brown bachis dont live in Saudia only nor they base their ethics on that.

Happy international women's' day!!
