OK, time for me to step into the fray...
Right, LADIES, I sense there is too much negativity on this thread, pertaining to cover up or not to cover up.
In light of the above, I propose that instead of arguing the merits of sleeveless / fully sleeved, we should all make an oath to WEAR LOONGHI'S on our SHOULDERS. Yes indeed, sisters of GS, let us UNITE and tie up our loonghi's any which way we prefer.

it depends wot you want to order, there are online websites as well, but to answer your and midnighteyes question…
I have couple of my cousins who are residing in Pakisan and India, so I send them pix of dresses I like and they either get it from the designer who created it, if its not feasible then one of my cousins has botique on Zamzama in Karachi, then she gets me stitched what I want…but she does as favor to me, as she has pretty good brand name so she does not want anyone to know that she is doing that copy…
She does not put her label on the dress as well, so nobody can find out that she made the copy…
Her tailors work so fine that whenever I wear anything stitched by her tailors, that most people praise the quality and fine stitching more than the designs… so that is the downside of having such good stitching… but if you want I can ask her is she knows somebody that she can refer…let me know if that is what you want me to do…
and do give some suggestions as to the following designs as well…now I m getting moer and more confused… but hopefully I will be able to make it through…now as we have three more kind of big Eid Milan parties so I have the freedom to choose a couple of more dresses… so here five…do tell which are best two…keep in mind that these Eid Milan parties will be starting at 5.00 and running into night…(not late late..but still after maghrib!

Salz, u r so lucky ur cousin can get u clothes. I have khalas, but none of them don't have internet which i hate a lot. i can't even send pictures to them. that sucks. so i wear their choice of clothes, which are ok.

so back to what we wearing for Eid.
In Trinidad (Caribbean Island) we normally wear gowns (abayas), shalwars or gararas for Eid. but i think this year i wanna wear a saree. we have a few Indian stores here plus Every year there's an Indian Expo with ppl from India so we get good bargains as well.
have u all ever ordered anything from desert store online?

Salz those dresses are very pretty.
As far as the religion factor goes with wearing sleeveless or not, well I say to each their own. I personally wouldn't wear it but if she is happy with wearing it then by all means go ahead.

i'm going to wear a sari iA.. its pale gold chiffon with tiny silver kamdani all over it and the blouse is tan silk but with lots of embroidery on it in maroon/dark green/gold and silver. its actually from the fabric that inspired my wedding dress and i had the piece left-over so my mom made me the matching sari. i'm excited! :)

oooOOOoo I wanna see that! I haven't gotten in new clothes in a while and won't until after my upcoming surgery. After that my poor husband is going to find us in the poor house because I'm gonna go NUTS haha
