Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

My 7 year old’s birthday is coming up… she’s chosen to have a witches and warlocks theme…:bummer:

Well thats a nice idea too because lot of kids are going after wizards and witches too.But since Nj’s daughter is 4 so it should be more childish.

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

We just had our 4 years old B'day celebrated. Theme was (well cake and decorations and balloons were, if you call that a theme) .. Hello Kitty ..

and then Niks arranged for a clown.

Kids had a blast.

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

I like the idea of your carnival theme and u can get a cotton candy and/or popcorn and a sno cone machine and kids can help themselves supervised ofcourse!!

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

carnival or circus would be so cute! you could do a home dress-up booth maybe with clown noses, funny wigs, big shoes, etc. it would be a great idea for a photo booth too!

i’m thinking red and white stripes, popcorn in little paper cones, a little candy bar as favors for the little guests, you could also work in some circus games like pin the nose on the clown. more ideas here- Circus Party - Kids Party Planning Ideas from Birthday Party Ideas

Princesses theme

Butterflies/summer garden party (similar to a tea party?)

Pink tea party-decorations are pink and white, you can serve a berry fruit tea, have fairycakes with pink icing, have battenberg cakes, red fruit salad, red 'jewel' rice salad, jam sandwiches and ohhh scones with jam and clotted cream.

Gosh, I love parties. I got slightly carried away when I organised my cousins daughters 1st birthday party.

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

I like the carnival theme too. I hope the weather stays nice otherwise we would have to set up the basement as the carnival.

I love the red and white strips idea.

What would be cute booth ideas for 4 year olds?

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

if she has non desi friends, you could do a Bollywood Theme. Make them wear their fancy clothes and lenghas (let the non desis borrow some outfits)..some could teach them a dance, which they can all perform when the parents pick them up. you can have a henna booth too!

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

Carnival theme sounds totally cool, go for it.

For next time, how about a strawberry shortcake theme.... you could bake big sugar cookies at home and have all the kids decorate theirs, or maybe even do cupcakes :) Kids this age love helping with baking and decorating food.

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

Tea party! They could bring their teddy bears over and have a teddy bears picnic too and youse can all sing the song 'If we go down to the woods today...'

She doesn’t know ANY bollywood but LOVES Chris Martin  Too bad you can’t take 4 year old to concerts.

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

awwwwwwwwwwww tea party i like!

Can I make the boys do this too? Or their mothers will have a COW!

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

Boys have soft toys too!

You really should have mentioned boys were coming, you cannit really have a tea party with boys, they eat everything, dont drink any tea and dont help with the washing up either!

Stick to the Carnival thing. But do it like the Rio carnival and get them to make their own masks! Love it. Glitter and I know for a FACT that boys love glittah!

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

^Wow!! Those pics look awesome :k:.

Re: Ideas for Birthday Themes

for favors and with the carnival theme, you could modify this recipe by using just white cake mix dyed with different bright colors, or just red, and then putting them in jars. i bet you they’d be a great hit with little party-goers heading home!
