yeah that sounds like a good idea , but i was wondering is there anyway we can have the recipe index on the first page ? coz otherwise people will have to go through the whole 1000 pages to find a certain recipe ... what say ? I wonder if the mods can advise whats the best way forward ...
yes we can have a index also and the threads that people open to request certain recipes, i was thinking if someone posts the recipe then that person in the same requested thread can say which page # it's posted on and also the post # so it's a bit easier for ppl to find....
good? bad? horrible???
P.S. thanks CB for ur idea :) let's see what others have to say
how about listing meat recipes,rice recipes,pasta recipes,salad recipes,dessert recipes and 'others' separately?that wont need much to be listed alphabetically too.

Good idea. Usually websites have it listed this way.
Sometimes its even better to divide the type of meat so:
(red meat, sea food/fish, chicken) = total of 3 threads +
one for different types of rice +
another for all sorts of pasta and pasta dishes +
vegetarian options +
one for desserts +
Total = 7 threads
if needed, separate threads for cuisines from other countries like mexican/italian/chinese BUT not really that important because these can be integrated into any of the above mentioned threads...
Another way to go around is by appetizers, entrees, and desserts, something similar to what psquared suggested.
The reason I said three threads is to create a little organization in the recipes. Usually, our recipes are categorized by appetizer, entree or dessert. If Im looking for a dessert, why scroll through pages of appetizers and entrees? If its only dessert, I can not only find the one I want but get ideas on something different I havent tried yet.
