Haris, those pics of soldires on a firing spree, are those from the expo or Somiani? I think they are from the Somiani, cuz thats where most of the demonstrations took place.
Well, I am also glad that nothing happened. With all the traffic jams and roadblocks, someone could have taken advantage of the situation. You know, when i came to know that they have made a card for you, I asked your brother to make sure that you bring along a camera too :p chalo , koi baat naheen.
Code, expo centre covers a large area where huge tanks, bunkers and missles were kept. The stalls were within the Expo building which is built in the middle/centre of that land . THis is a very happening place but its known basically for the taxtile eshibitions or those that are sponsored by the Export Promotion Beureau. (sp) You should come down to Karachi sometime.
Our agriculture products that feed a majority of our labour force is loosing market share in the middle east and these guys are promoting products that only help a few minority of the population. It is great to see how our country's leaders prioritize our growth and development.
yeah code, theres a huge ground on the right side of the expo centre where they had all the equipment. they moved the tanks there and the choppers even landed there.

yup, these firing images are from the expo. from our roof we could see the choppers coming on the 1 and 2 day and they dropped SSG commandos by the rope then the commnados rolled and fired their machine guns, we could hear the rounds firing. they even fired tank shells which created a huge flare and smoke along with a a shock wave that we could feel at our place. amazing! but i think all major firing and air show was held at somniani beaches.
