Ideal Body!

Why do people not understand that their ideal weight varies from other people who may even be of same age and same height. It also depends on your body frame, your built and how toned you are. You can weight exact same like the other person but they may look fitter cuz they r better toned and their built may be better. But i see people are so dumb when it comes to all this, they just want to rely on figures.

I have seen at gym people who say they r same weight but they look so diff body wise. That’s cuz some r not well toned and some have such a built or height that makes them look bulkier.

Most people even don’t know about their body frames and what according to that and their height should be the healthy weight range for them. The latest trend is just that i have to be in the 50’s range of kg. But the truth is you can be around 55kg but if your stomach is not toned you will look worse than say someone 65kg and i say this because i have seen it at gym both girls weighing this much but the heavier one looked fitter cuz of the toning.

So how many of you focus on making sure you work out your abdomen, your rear, etc? Also what’s more important to you; loosing in inches or in mass?

Re: Ideal Body!

For me, at this point the most important thing is to change my lifestyle. I want to make healthy eating a part of my life so Im not jumping on and off diets.

In the end, my goal is to lose fat and be more lean and toned.

Re: Ideal Body!

It's easy and satisfying to gauge progress by numbers - look at how popular THE BIGGEST LOSER where numbers are the key.

But you are right Maham - knowing your body frame, BMI, BMR, FAT%, are good calculations that you need to know about your overall health.

i just try to be healthy. I don't have a certain number in my mind that I want to be.

thats nice.

But i think it not necessairly tells u yr progress that well. It's imp for u to get yr fat test done to see whether u r losing mass weight or fat.

Re: Ideal Body!

Stay fighting fit, slim without bulky muscles and fat to a minimum :k:

You are right, I have noticed that many people judge you by the number you weigh....For me, that's always been the wrong measure...

Before having my baby, I was toned but the weight number wasnt in the avg 50ish range...still I was just the ideal weight for my height and frame...Things are much different now...but I am definitely pumped up to tone and get fit rather than getting to a certain weight...
