^ Honestly that doesn't sound like a bad idea. If you are struggling financially or if there is another reason behind it then go ahead and have the 2 day event. It sounds like the simple and Islamic way to do it to me anyway. If I was given a choice of getting married all over again, for sure I would have saved the hundred's of thousands of dollars my family and my husband's family spent.
It all comes down to personal choice :)
