I love the Italian culture and Italy is definitely one of the most historic, romantic, enchanting places on earth.

yep agree ![]()
Been there 4 times…just don’t go in the summer if you don’t like the heat…coz as in all Europan ciuntries you have to walk to everywhere. And the heat can sooo spoil the fun.
You said you liek teh art and teh culture..but apart from that I’d recommend that you visit the Catacombs :k:
I'm going to Rome on Tuesday inshallah .. I'll try and remember to bring back and post photos.
You better go to Sicily instead of Italy if you want to see the real beauty. :)
visit the leaning tower of pisa if you can.
knowing you, you probably just want to go there to check out the guys! weren't you the one who said you have a preference for italian guys?!
LK, yes the catacombs are definitely worth visiting…I have read alot about them
Maddy, I would absolutely love to see your Italy pics
Zabardast, Sicily is not only a beautiful and rich land (as well as being historic with centuries of invasions on its soil), it also breeds some of the most exotic and attractive people on earth, in my opinion
HB, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is a great tourist attraction as well
PM, yes you are correct…I am the one who is fascinated by all things Italian

^ yeah sweetpie thinks the pope is pretty cute...
The current Pope is Polish.
sweetpie: u definitely should go to Rome when in Italy. It is the most cultural and historic city i’ve been to. :k:
Mad Scientist: for the best italian icecream, and in general best icecream ever:
go to the Trevi Fountain, there is a small ally there, on the right hand side is an ice-saloon! the biggest and most delicious ice you will ever taste! their pistache-taste is wicked! ![]()
and on ur way back, throw ur change over ur right shoulder into the fountain ![]()
went venice, florance, rome and pizza 2 ears ago ... amazing
Nescio, thanks. I intend to go soon insh’allah once my studies are done with. I want to ideally travel through all the major cities in Italy.
True enough.. but, man are they dumb

The cathedral compound where the tower is is nice.. but the rest of the town might as well be Mexico. If you plan on staying in that area, I’d recommend having a hotel on the coast, it doesn’t matter where. Tirrenia is close to the highway that goes into Pisa and Florence so from there you can go anywhere in a day. There’s not much on the coast, but once you see a sunset there you will know why the Renaissance started there and that alone is worth the whole trip.
All of Italy is beautiful. But I’d recommend staying north of Rome for the culture. The south is breathtaking, but it can be a real pain. Regardless, wherever you are in Italy you really don’t need to plan an itinerary, just get lost and you will find and see more than you ever imagined. If you miss your flight, that might be a good thing.. a sign from God ![]()
spoon, thank you so much for the information. It's quite helpful. I agree, getting lost is much better than having a set itinerary...you end up looking at alot more firsthand this way.
:)
