I don’t see any thread regarding ICL matches been played in India? If there is any please add this is into it (moderator). Thanks…

I am not sure if you guys are aware, Pak players are doing well so far…there are big prizes and so far Inzi, Shabir Ahmad and Taufeeq Umar has won the man of the match award which is about 4 lakh Indian Rs.

so far what i have seen in the ICL ,i am not impressed. quality of local indian cricketers is average. ground is horrible. its a dust rubble rather then proper green outfield. Pakistan players are doing well. there does not seem to be enough glamour and i don't think future of ICL looks that promising

well they dont have good grounds so far .....
but the thing tht really impressed me ..
tht Zee tv has put lot of money in it ...

i mean even Pakistan dont have Hawk eye tech. n ICL has managed to arrange one for the tornament

they are doing the best they can
BCCI owns almost all the grounds in India and they are not allowing ICL to use them so they are stuck with the dusty grounds

Yeah, I read somewhere PCB is planning IPL type league in 2009. I'll try to find the link, it was in a newspaper.

Well I disagree with few points you made akhan. Grounds maybe dusty and slow outfield but Kapil admitted that, he took the responsibility that they had to do this within one month, but I really liked the enthusiasm of all the players, good fielding by local indian players, specially you should have seen the matches played between Lions vs tigers. You should have seen tiger boys fielding absolutely breath taking. Keeping was absolutely brilliant.

Personally I have enjoyed. Also look at their website http://indiancricketleague.in. Foriegn commentators, cheerleaders and on top crowd…And prize money is very good, I would say ICL do have a future if they carry on like this. Its a very good opportunity for local kids to play with International players, where else in the history of game you would see local boys playing with players like Imran, kapil, headly, botham like players. You have to see all the matches to realize the charm of this game. And we don’t know the charm for the local people who come to see their local boys playing in the ground.

I think Pak should definately start something like this, but would Pak be able to afford money as Indians can? That is a question mark.

Prize money for winner is about 4 crore or maybe more i think. Man of the match 4 lakh. Good money for young boys.
