what exactly is South Africa's plan here? lost only one wicket... but way, way behind on the runrate. Kallis is such a selfish player. always has been, always will be. even now, it's Smith taking all the risks.

on a slightly different note, watching the spinners make it obvious how tough it will be to score against spin on these types of pitches. means we will miss good/experienced players of spin in our team. our young guys might find it tough going against spin, get frustrated and throw their wickets away.

Why did Smith only used fast bowlers? That's where he lost it. Dhoni did exactly the opposite.

still cost them the game though unless AB and Boucher can pull off a miracle.

always hated Kallis. I love the Saffie team - always been my second fav team but Kallis is such a selfish clown.

India won by 14 runs...

SA just short of a few boundries in the later overs...

Great win by India today. Credit where it is due. They played really well and are deserving winners today. To score 186 MINUS SEHWAG against a top team like Saffies just shows how strong their batting is.

Though they managed to get closer to the target during the latter stages of their innings, SA were never really in the game. They were always playing catch-up cricket

Actually it was first few overs where SA lagged behind, in 1st 4 overs they scored only 17 runs.

India scored 75 runs in the last 5 overs.

You are right...India opened attack with spin+pace...and this combination made SA over-cautious...they should have done otherwise slightly...

PS: I think...India will continue to employ spin+pace opening attack as it has been successful in the last IPL tourney...
