…The tipping point for England seems to have been the comments Ijaz Butt, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, made at 9pm on Wednesday. In an interview with the BBC, Butt was adamant that the three would remain part of the tour, unless they were charged with an offence. Outraged that Pakistan could be such ungrateful guests, after the summer’s mercy mission that brought them Tests against Australia, the ECB’s top brass swung into action…
I personally don't think any one should believe NOTW and not especially ICC when they are trying to investigate this case. They should be banking on Scotland Yard and their findings and not on a tabloid.
any update on main char Majeed? have not heard anything about him from last 2-3 days? Yee in ko phansa ker wo kahaaan nikel gaya? Shouldn't he be the center of all these investigations?
Well were it not for this tabloid, Salman Butt, Asif and Aamer would not be in any trouble now
and this is the most worrying part if ICC and other authorities are judging these players simply on what NOTW reported and what their videos have shown. I personally think any court of law would find not an iota of truth just based on NOTW videos.
Don’t know what assurances ICC gave to Hasan and his office but Sharad Pawar did say this few days ago
**Sharad Pawar, the ICC president, said the game’s governing body would wait for the police report on the issue before deciding on a course of action. ** “Until and unless the British authorities complete the investigation, which we hope will be done in two-three days, and establish there is prima facie case, it is difficult for the PCB to take appropriate action,” Pawar said after a teleconference with ICC officials, PCB chairman Ijaz Butt and ECB chairman Giles Clarke. “ICC is waiting for the British police to complete investigation. ACSU is also looking into the details. It is also preparing a report in two to three days. The report by British Police and ACSU will give us a proper picture.”
