Is it possible that Venkat and Srinivas Venkataraghavan are the same person? I strongly encourage that thought. Whether he is a good or bad I have no idea because I've never seen or followed games he officiated.
How come I don't see any Pakistani ump represented in the old or the additions list?
Darell Hair should be there , He is the only Umpire who has the guts to call a Chucker 'CHUCKER'. He has saved the cricketing world for producing more & more chuckers. Had it not been for him, so many players would have taken up chucking.
Aleem Dar is a great Umpire in making and I am sure he will be one of the top Umpires in coming years/

Yeah maybe he should have stand in one of India's match couple years back to call another chucker a chucker (Sardar ji)

Looks Like I touched a Raw Nerve here . Well Now I know why you didn’t want him in the Elite Panel. Too bad for chuckers, nmesis of Chuckers is in the elite Panel now. 
When did I ever say that I don’t want him.
I think he did right to call Shoaib and Murali for no balls on suspection, it was the committees job to clear the 2.
I think he is a very good umpire and gives some good decisions.
Billy Bowden really was my favourite umpire! very original and charismatic and funny :D
