Great decision. Guys just forget about these three players. Don’t feel anything for them who didn’t think of us while falling for few extra bucks.

I hope ICC will probe the IPL and other teams as well if a complaint is launched.

Also AAMER to appeal in court of Arbitration against 5 year ban - which was the lowest according to the ICC code of conduct…

Overall Bad news…I only feel for Aamer…such a talent …

All in All - let him work hard in domestic to make a comeback in 5 years…it may be better for him…

No need to feel for anyone here, none of these players were innocent or toddlers, what we should feel bad is that they lacked in moral strength.

ICC helped Pakistan cricket (not PCB) by cleaning out our yard which should’ve been done by PCB who chose to actually defend these idiots.

WOW some of you are still wondering whether they were guilty or not??? seriously? Read the ICC tribunal statement…Both asif and amir bowled those no balls deliberately and butt was part of all this…these three are not innocent. I think the ban on these players was the right decision. Amir is not a munna bacha that he doesn’t understand the difference btw right and wrong! Besides the CPS prosecution will further prove that these three are indeed guilty!

What I now actually fear is that if (very likely) there were others in the gang and are part of the current squad but not caught then guys like Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif may blackmail them to help them mint money to recover loss of income.

about time we started taking responsibility for our own actions. These guys weren't kids - they got themselves into this mess... if someone took advantage of the situation after the fact, tough luck... they made themselves vulnerable in the first place.

I still think Aamer got caught up due to Captains pressure, but that is not an excuse. He could have gone to the manager, called PCB chairman or anything instead of following his corrupt leader....

This ia a correct representation of our society in Pakistan. The educated (Butt) are leading the corruption while the opportunist (Asif) and gullible (Amir) are following with their eyes closed.

The only reason I feel sorry for the three is because they got caught while the nation of 170 million still enjoys the freedom of corruption from the janitor at a government office to the president of Pakistan.
We need to take ownership of our failiures and move forward as responsible citizens.

I think the tribunal was sympathetic to Aamir but had to hand out a 5 years ban since that was the minimum sentence stipulated in the anti-corruption code.

Butt still thinks he is innocent. I always knew he was a third rate batsmen, he has now proved that he is a third rate chichora as well.

khus kum jahan pak. He should have got life along with Asif. Feel sorry for Amir but 5 years is good as it will prevent any other new comer to think twice before doing anythign silly like this.
