Assalam-o-Allaikum,
According to cricinfo forthcoming matches and schedule on bbc, the first match of super 8 will be played between W.Indies and Australia. According to the schedule on cricinfo, the first match will be between D2 and A1 which means Ireland vs Australia. They are considering W.Indies as D2 and Ireland as D1 in schedule mentioned on their website.
Is it just a mistake? Comments please…

Because no one at this forum now cares about Super 8. For most of us worldcup finished on 17th March. Some had hope untill 23rd March and then gave up.

i was confused also because during the bangladesh bermuda match they said ireland will play australia, but then i was watching the presentation of previous day match of aus vs SA they said australia will play windies, so im not too sure either!

I don't think anyone cares much since each team will play the rest once, as long as the points table are correct who cares who plays to whom first.
