Today’s RSA v England match result proves Imran’s point again i.e. there is no outright favourite in this tournament. On recent form and esp. after bowling out England for a paltry 171, everyone expected SA to win the game. But England bowled with discipline and fire and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Despite the pitch and conditions the target should have been an easy one for SA but their batters could not handle pressure. In limited overs cricket it all comes down to your performance on the day + mental strength (not to be discounted) + luck/decisions going your way. Historical data and form etc. go out the window

The part Imran has wrong is that ‘form’ goes out of the window - it does not and matters.
