Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

Ehsan bhai, doesnt he deserve credit for slowing SL down in the middle of the innings alongwith Malik? I agree he is not having a good time with the bat but he makes it up most of the time.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

Afridi was totally out of character...very non-challant and carefree in the field...lazily chased the ball in the outfield...dropped a sitter and all...Plus got out on 1...

I think he is missing Inzi...Lets setup a reunion...

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

I thought you were predictng that the ball was gonna get softer during the later part of the innings which is why Afridi should have opened so he could do his hitting better. Are you now saying that the moist conditions were conducive to hitting in the later part of the innings? Which is it?

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

 I get your point…yeah reunion ho jayay…
we can replace him with Arafat or even just get Nazir in as a regular bowler…

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

Of the three spinners his economy rate was the highest.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

I wouldnt worry about Afridi, on Indian phata tracks he can get back in form in any momoment!

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

just rushed home to watch the highlights of the match, even tho i saw the whole thing this morning, i could not miss the highlights.

DAMN O DAMN WAS IT GOOD ! wheres all those ppl who were talkin sheet bout paki cricket b4 this game?!!!

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

i think you should stop arguing for nothing cause you are not really making any sense..you are probably just getting frustrated cause you can't abuse me anymore.
you cant predict the dew on the ground sometimes its there sometimes its not...today it was heavy towards the end of the game and cost srilanka the game.afridi was still a better option as an opener cause when he came on to bat dew was not a factor ....and batting was less difficult at the start and towards the end of the innings.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

^ The ball was changed three time so SL can't hide behind the dew factor for their defeat, there was one overwhleming reason for their defeat, the genius of Razzaq at the end.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

i feel this tounament will come down to who has the better luck.the conditions of these wickets does'nt stay the same from one innings to the next and than there can be the due factor which can kill a bowling side.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

^Have you ever played cricket? it does nt take long for ball to get wet when there is heavy dew on the outfield...a couple of shots along the ground out in the field and the ball gets too wet to spin or swing.imran khan was saying the same thing,it made it difficult for the bowlers to grip and spin or swing, and came on to the bat nicely too towards the end...thats why razzaq was able to hit through the line easily.but still i am not trying to take anything away from razzaq hes a great batsman he could still have won this for pakistan without the dew.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

great match played by pakistan
but i am worried about 3 players
Afridi his attitude is not good for team
Imran farhat he always gives his wicket away
and the last rana nothing is working for him
so all in all best of luck pakistan in future games

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

^disagree on imran farhat.if it was'nt for imran farhat and hafeez aggressive batting at the start pakistan would've struggled to chase this down so give them credit..this is one day cricket u have to take risk to keep the scorebaord ticking and sometimes you do get out that way.u cant afford a mudassar nazar scoring a 50 in 50 overs...that cricket of the 70's and 80s.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

Great win

And it was SL,s own decision to bat first, they can,t complain

Ab bhugto,

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

I was probably playing cricket before you were even born. I watched my first test match in 1963 at the Lahore stadium and played for Hailey college in 1969. Does that tell you something. Since this match has concluded you have been posting here that SL lost due to dew. I am sure the SL captain knows more about cricket than you and he was the one who made the decision to bat first and it was not his first match of the tournament either. So chill.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

I am only worried about Rana's performances, he has not been able to get wickets of late which would only dent his confidence and morale.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

^you are saying that you know more about cricket than imran khan..thats what imran khan was saying ..he said that even the changing of the ball could not save srilanka from the dew factor, its his comments not mine..dont angry chill..srilanaka captain batted first cause in the previous match a wicket on the same ground became unplayable for s.a in the second innings and there was nt that much of dew in that match.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 3rd Match: Oct 17th, Pakistan V Sri Lanka, Jaipur

I never claimed to know more about cricket than anyone, you were the one who challenged me, nor did I claim anywhere that I know more than Imran. Imran word is not final in cricket, his is only one of many views, people have different view, obviously Jaywardena had a different view.
