pak needs to attack in the first 10 with afridi as opener.250 does not seem like a big target but wicket is quite slow now and keeping low.so it wont be as easy as it seems.pak has a good chance though sl is 25 or 30 runs short

At one point SL were poised for 270-80+ and someone here wishfully posted that SL would be bowled out. Right on dude :k: 
To bowl them out gives us a huge confidence boost and an achievable target. Now we need a very good start, but most importantly, preserve wickets.

It's this kind of thinking that has been (ironically) getting people out for paltry totals. Oh how I yearn for the gold old convential batting setting a platform for all explosive displays reserved for the later half of the inninigs.
What's even sadder is that our team might actually listen to you, and may send in Afridi.

afridi will be more effective in the first 10 than in the lower order when ball is stopping and spinning.u gottta play according to the situation this is not england where ball will move around in the first 15.besides afridi was sent in as opener last year chasing a smilar target against india in india and he finished them off with big hitting.

^ Hafeez can play down the order its not like he HAS to open. I'd say send Afridi with Farhat as desidude pointed it depends on the situation, the place where you playing.
Younis might send Afridi to open than it depends if Afridi wants to listen to Younis aka C A P T A N.

pakistan cricket is bout agression not playing cautiously trying to keep wickets in hand.that how they won against india in india by giving confidence to afridi as opener.and you have razzaq coming down the order who can hit the big ball so even afridi does nt do well as opener its not like pakistan is risking too much
