may be…i dunno but i think he started writing jaasoosii novels before he migrated to Pakistan. the publishers, Nikhat Publications, Allahabad, was publishing his work before the partition. i’m NOT sure though.

that may be the reason as writers who got published their works in United India (like Manto) are more famous in India then those Urdu writers who got their works published in Pakistan.
