The answers can be obtained from the following summerized reality.
Afghanistan was a kingdom. USSR wanted to take it as they had an agreement from Pakistan’s responsible people, that they would let pakistan port be used for this purpose if a pipeline is allowed to be made from USSR to pakistani port via afghanistan.
Since america was a friend of Arabic countries never wanted this planning to be materialized. So they asked pakistan we would help you, you push the USSR from afghanistan. Pakistan thought ,no problem if we would have more influence in Afghanistan we would be better off than USSR in this deal. And america would also be happy.
So Pakistan fought and turned out the USSR . In 1987 only here and there was a little fight with a few USSR and AFghans or Pakistan.
When the planning was leaked to saudia, they convinenced Pakistan ,not to make pipe line, and they promised to pay as much rent that they would get for that? Pakistan said more or less half billion per year. Saudia said we would give you this money through free oil supply. Pakistan said fine. Saudia was /is a good friend of Pakistan.
America after russian turned out from Afghanistan became lacks. Pakistan had difficulties to continue keeping USSR out from Afghan . As Pakistan needed peaceful neighbour.Saudia helped Pakistan not only to help pakistan from this crisis, but also they thought that

Most of those people who were trouble in their own respective countries and were known as AKhwan ul muslameen. Many were taken out from the jails and were send to afghanistan, and were send by saying go to jihad, as a deal.
In late 1987, already more or less USSR were out of afghanistan. These arabs helped saudia against Rabanis government in Afghanistan and they were all the time busy against different political and religious groups of afghanistan.
The burqa was for ladies ,but it was a means to free movements of men against differnt political groups of afghanistan.
Also iraq iran war ended in 1988. And soon after that
there was war between kuwait and iraq and american was based in saudia.
So there was a roit (terrorist attack ) in Reyaid on american building etc.
Hatred against america started in saudia, not only in public but in saudia government also.
Since pakistan also is afriend of america started working together, with saudia, only. And many more arabic countries worked together under a single planning to be together in afghanistan as arabic colony in asia. They were ruling afghanistan ,all drug dealing were in their hands. Poor afghans were quite, as they were poor and arabs over there were getting richer and richer due to drug deals in some arabic and non arabic countries, also in pakistan.
When Pakistan realized that there is now things are going out of control of Pakistan , they trained Afghanistani students based in pakistan and send them to Afghanistan, to established their own government. And Pakistan was successful. And Taliban had made the government. Arabs still had influence on part of talibani government.
Since america forgot Pakistan ,and arabs from every country was sending terrorist to pakistan also, after arabs noticed that taliban government was propakistani.
Pakistan settled with ussr countries for pipeline. And was trying peaceful afghanistan as well as pakistan.
Since america was still in saudia, ossama and his companions planned against america and every one saw on 9/11 what happened.
So there was no real jehad in afghanistan after late 1987.; for arabs to come . They had other motives. Pakistan had other motive. Therefore, when america asked pakistan to be this side or that side they decided what was good for their country.
Also pipeline project america and pakistan had renewed if there would be peace in afghan. Saudia became angry, has stopped giving oil to pakistan saying we do not have any more.
Infact the breach of the contract of not building pipeline from ussr through afghanistan to pakistan was broken between saudia and pakistan.
Also america is now helping pakistan for getting business and oil in ussr countries if pakistani port is made to be ready for this purpose.
So this is the real true story. There is no religion involved. Innocent poor muslims are made to be used for political purposes to form a wahabis kind government in afghanistan against normal muslims friqas say hanafis.
Now since this whole drama was not islamic,saudia is killing those to whom they had trained for terroism in pakistan or out side against american interest. And poor arabs and others in pakistan are also trapped. They are being killed because they can not go back to their countries, as they were send to afghanistan from jails as a deal. Those who were not send as a deal from jail, but were aghwan nul muslameen–were busy troubling governments of their countries; have returned back to their respective countries.
