Dude it doesn't matter... if someone gets "aroused" by rape and think that another woman deserves to be raped or victimized, they are sick. It does not matter if they're male or female. I'm not one of thsoe people who thinks women are always innocent naive things. They can be just as vicious and disgusting but it's more repressed in them and rightfully so.

I somewhat agree with dope, its nothing to be surprised about and these could be just fantasies that people are expressing, not something they'd actually act upon.

I can't provide a link because I read it in my school library as a kid, but Time Out magazine in the UK, which covers what to do for recreation in the UK (ie clubs, movies, theatres, arts) once waaaaaay back in the mid 90s did an anonymous survey on the sexual fantasies of male readers.
The editors were shocked by the results.
The two leading fantasies were necrophilia and paedophilia. They asked several psychiatrists to help them understand the results and the conclusion was that the draw of these two fantasies was having a completely passive partner that could be utterly dominated.

They loathed her because she was smart and a woman. Taking orders from her made them feel dominated and angry. These were more like locker-room conversations. Even I joined in sometimes due to the peer pressure.
Maddy: it was a bulge-bracket investment bank in NYC. I think it would be apples and oranges comparing docile and polite Canadians with your average testosterone-pumped, cut-throat american frat boys in corporate america.

Oh, investment banks. I haven’t been in Canada long enough to know, but investment banking in London pretty much had that kind of reputation.

You have to be careful with statistical studies. Take a class on statistics, and you'll see how easy it is to do a "study" and come up with outrageous numbers.
As much as I do believe men are pigs, I don't think the percentage of men desiring to rape is that high.

I find it pretty funny that most topics are based on researches that invlove people who have nothing to do with our culture.
I don't get it, if I read a research about 78% of American females cheat on their boyfriends/husbands for an entertaintment star, I laugh and move on but on the other side one brings same kind of research about men from other culture here just so they have a topic to bash on men here.
So sad.

A study done in 1980 showed that 71% of those interviewed believed that women secretly and subconsciously wish to be raped (Wheeler, Weisburd, & Bode, 1982). I was unable to find out the split between males and females in that 71% but assumed it to be 50/50. That will make atleast 35% of the females having a wish to get raped. You can do all sort of studies and come up with completely crap conclusions. Studies are very much dependent on the sampled population. Wishing something and acting it out are completely different ball games.
People are attracted to some activities just because they are taboo. Human brain is a complex organ.
