I wouldn’t blame men alone. I remember my last trip to Pakistan, I got groped and did get a lot of looks. However, I was the one at fault as I wore tight-fitted clothes.

Now I try to wear abaya outside (in Canada) as much as I can and I’m sure if I was to visit Pakistan and walk in the streets with abaya on, I’ll get more respect and less harassment, insha’Allah.

It goes both ways. If you’re going to flaunt yourself willingly or unwillingly, then there are more chances of you becoming a victim. Whereas, if you dress more appropriately knowing that you will get looks and dirty comments, then I’m sure it’ll minimize such harassment and behaviour to an extent, insha’Allah.
