U can come to USA for 90 days without Visa, but any trip longer than 90 days requires a visa.
u can search VWP programe on google to know the details.

Re: I wish to

You have better chances of getting US visa from Dubai. Should not be a big problem.

Re: I wish to

so i do need visa?

Re: I wish to

no aisha as i said u dont need a visa :S
even u can drive in USA if u have british driving license.

but yeah if u r planing to stay for more than 90 days then u need a visa.
and visa from dubai wont be a big deal. as u have a family bizness u can stuff ur bank account and then apply ur visa.

Re: I wish to

 i just have 14 something eid holidays for december! i am not planning on staying for more than 90 days!

no i do not have a british licence, have a dubai one. driving is cool i dont care about that…

Re: I wish to

then u r good, just make a fone call to travel agent and book the flight now cuz in december it would be hard to get a seat cuz of XMAS.
BTW december would be cold as hell (depending on wat state u r coming to) and most of the USA might be closed cuz of xmas holidays.

Re: I wish to

If you want to enter into US without visa. You need to check this first:
1.If your passport is machine readable or it is an e passport with an electronic chip in it.
2. You will be staying for less than 90 days to prove that you will have to buy a return ticket with return date less than 90 days of your entering into US.
3. You will fly with an airline which is an US airline and participates in Visa Waiver Program, you have to check with the airline for that.

Otherwise you will have to get a visa from US embassy but as I said it should not be difficult getting one from Dubai.

P.S: Call the US embassy to confirm all this , they keep changing the rules for travel from Muslim countries all the times.

oh dont worry i am going to get a seat one way or another..

passport is machine readable! check!
will be staying less than 90 days and i can think of ways to prove that! check!
so do u have any ideas about airlines that i can take? or support the waiver thingy?
i can fly to london on virgin atlantic and then go from there to NY on which airline?

Re: I wish to

delta airways
american airways
continental airlines
i believe southwest also goes to europe.

Re: I wish to

so all of these support the waiver program?

Re: I wish to

User this visa wizard created by US embassy in UK.
Embassy of the U.S. London: Consular Affairs: Visa Wizard

Re: I wish to

i am confused, ecoshan keeps on telling me i do not need a visa however you are adamant on me getting one? what is the deal? :S

Re: I wish to

you dont need a visa, but.. you will have some extra questioning at the immigration desk.

1) you are a british from pakistani origin
2) if you also travled to both dubai and Pakistan lately

rest is fine. machine readable is the requirement at the moment, for the newly issued passports however they only accept biometric digital chipped ones.

Re: I wish to

no i went to pakistan one year back.. this year i did not go to pakistan
and what do u mean travelled to dubai, i live in dubai :konfused:

Re: I wish to

believe me u r just wasting ur time here. travel agents know everything and even if they dont they just make a fone call and info is there.
and m positive u dont need visa.

No, no , he is right , you qualify , but it is good to check through that wizard , it is created for that particular purpose of checking if you have all the conditions in place for Visa Waiver Program.
Looks like you do. But better safe than sorry , as rejection rate of entry to US is 3% for those who travel to US and are citizens of participating countries in Visa Waiver Program.

Re: I wish to

arey thats the whole reason why i come to gs in the first place! to spend time :smack: so i am coool…

oh okk .. i get it fine i will go through that particular wizard..
