I was watching the Stream

on Al Jazeera and they had this idiotic show in Celebrity status. However one interesting comment was made that for male celebs the gossip was of a variety of things. For female celebs it was all about their body, figure, weight and make up. There was a back and forth over the matter and an interesting statement was made again. Most of the celeb info readers are women. And all this gossip about women and their bodies and stuff women actually look in to it.

Simply put women look at other women’s bodies and judge. Does that mean every woman has a hidden lesbo inside of her?

Re: I was watching the Stream

Only you can come up with such questions .. :smack:

Re: I was watching the Stream

Looking and judging don’t make you lesbo. :smack:

Re: I was watching the Stream

Women judging other women . . . WHAAAAT . . . this can’t be . I thought they are all saints and treat humanity equally and not based on their looks .

As a side note , why they all hate men when they do the same ?? :chai:

Re: I was watching the Stream

one of many

Re: I was watching the Stream

So you men never check out other men?

Re: I was watching the Stream

^I'm sure I've heard men sitting around witching about their buddies's asses and and football t-shirts

Re: I was watching the Stream

And I wonder what does that make them? Gay? :hmmm:

Re: I was watching the Stream

Not possible unless they are gay I can guarantee you that

Re: I was watching the Stream

What sort of men?

Most likely … yes

But the vice-versa situation does not count … women don’t count …

Women are also called female - effeminate and do these kinds of things, but if a man did it - then it puts a question mark on his masculinity …

The appropriate opposite of this situation is:

If a woman stuck around with men doing arm wrestles and watching football and dressing like a man then the chances are she will harbour masculine characteristics and be more inclined to desire the sort of women that men desire.

In general we have:

a) The archetype female - with effeminate characteristics and corresponding external looks and female gender
b) The archetype male - with masculine characteristics and corresponding external looks and male gender

Some female genders will have both aspects of the archetype, others will have one and not the other and some female genders will have neither look nor habit of a female archetype.

**Gender Look Habit
****F --------Y------ Y
**F--------- N-------- Y
F ----------Y------- N
F ---------N-------- N
**M -------Y------ Y
**M --------N --------Y
M --------Y-------- N
M --------N------- N

The look of a person is quite important because is establishes in their mind what they “want to be” … the habits of a person can manipulated and are less explanatory to the orientation of a person, except when those habits are sexual in nature.

So coming to the OP’s question … when a woman looks at another woman she does so to size herself against the other like a benchmark or measure of how good she may look - to men in particular.

When a man looks at another woman it is mostly because he wants to see himself as close as possible to her - if on the other hand he does so sizing himself against her then of course there is a problem there.

Conversely men don’t size themselves up against other men … well not the alpha ones - and the alpha ones do indeed do it but in a different way … they often do it by looking more flash, cracking more jokes, showing who is stronger and competing more openly. Since time immemorial men have competed while women watch and women compare themselves to one another while men have no clue what is going on between them.

That is the normality of the situation - but when it goes strange then all rules are broken.

Re: I was watching the Stream

well i don't know about anyone else but i like looking at women because they are beautiful. i'd rather look at female models than male models any day.

if i'm walking down the road and someone makes my head turn.. it's always a pretty lady.

Re: I was watching the Stream

Me too! Except if the male model is Jon Kortajarena.

Re: I was watching the Stream

you are one of those staring aunties…that creep cute guppans in teh streets

Re: I was watching the Stream

I think it's great that women have the ability to show aesthetic appreciation for both genders......without them becoming paranoid about how they come across.

Come to think of it....I've heard guys (yes, straight guys) comment on the physical apperance of other males.......they don't gush over it.....but say it an casual/nonchalant way. I don't think it's always so black and white.

Re: I was watching the Stream

is it that obvious?

Re: I was watching the Stream

you just said so yourself.......

whats the grey you talking about?

Re: I was watching the Stream

i didn’t say stare and since when am i an aunty? :snooty:

Re: I was watching the Stream

what i did was the minimum basic level of extrapolation of others' statements at GS......:D

Re: I was watching the Stream

I know this is off-topic, but I couldn't resist. I love how Shahreyar Khan goes around "liking" many of CM's posts...when he mostly likely knows how much that freaks him out. LMAO, that cracks me up!
