i think the reason being Pakistani Punjabis [Muslims] did NOT adopt to Gurmukhi script…i dunno if Pakistani Gujratis have adopted Gujrati script.

Pakistani Gujrati is still written in Gurmukhi script. They have their newspapers and magazines as well
